SEN Teacher Required in Nottingham – Part Time October Start

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a tutor in the NG8 area to teach a student with PMLD. Due to his SEN, the student is unable to attend school, and therefore the 2:1 tuition will occur in the home. The student is working a pre-Key Stage level; therefore, the tuition will focus on learning through play.

About the Role:

  • 2:1 Tuition for a Year 1 student with PMLD
  • 12 hours a week
  • In person, in the student’s home
  • Working materials and resources will need to be provided by the tutor
  • Focus on learning through play, as well as providing emotional and behavioural support

Who we are looking for:

  • People who are comfortable working as part of a team, and communicating with parents
  • Previous experience working with children with PMLD
  • Tutors with training or experience Play Therapy, such as Lego Therapy or Theraplay

Requirements:

  • Teacher with QTS or a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience
  • Previous experience teaching EYFS
  • Experience of teaching and working with children with SEN
  • Child workforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)
