Phonics Support Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are working with a mainstream primary school in the OL1 area that are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Phonics Support Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
The successful candidate will support pupils in developing early reading and phonics skills through small group interventions and classroom support, working closely with teachers and the English lead to help children build confidence and make strong progress.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with primary-aged children
- Has a good understanding of phonics and early reading
- Experience of Little Wandle Phonics or Read Write Inc Phonics
- Is patient, positive, and organised
- Works well as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
