Additional Phonics Support Specialist
Primary School in Nelson (BB9)
Part - time hours (Monday, Tuesday and Wendesday mornings only)

As we continue to prioritize the childrens academic success, we are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Additional Phonics Support Specialist to join our team.
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Phonics Specialist to provide additional support to students in mastering phonics skills. As an Additional Phonics Support Specialist, you will work closely with students in small groups or on a one-on-one basis to reinforce their phonics knowledge and improve their reading abilities. You will need:
- Strong understanding of phonics principles and proven experience in delivering phonics support to students: RWI preffarbly but training is aailable if experience is using alternate schemes.
- Passion for literacy development and a commitment to helping young learners succeed.
- Ability to engage and motivate students through creative and interactive teaching methods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teachers and parents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted phonics support to students identified as needing additional help.
- Create engaging and age-appropriate phonics lessons and activities.
- Assess students' progress and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate phonics instruction into the overall literacy curriculum.
- Communicate regularly with parents to update them on their child's progress.
- Monitor and track students' phonics development and maintain records of their achievements.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
