Performing Arts, Dance and PE specialist Cover Supervisor needed in Bedford as soon as possible!

  • Job Type: Full-time & long-term contract
  • Pay: £90 - £110 (flexible depending on travel)
  • Location: Bedford
  • Start: ASAP - ongoing flexible and contract work available

What is a Cover Supervisor?

✓ Supervising and managing the behaviour of students during lessons.
✓ Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans to maintain continuity in learning.
✓ Providing support to students in their learning activities.
✓ Managing classroom resources and ensuring a safe learning environment.
✓ Reporting back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues arising during the day.

Would you be the right fit?

  • Holder of a Subject-specific degree would be best
  • Previous experience in a school is advantageous 
  • Friendly, confident and calm attitude
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults
  • Adaptable to working with children with vulnerable backgrounds
  • An individual with good knowledge of Safeguarding and Keeping Children Safe in Education
  • Be passionate about helping students to succeed in academically, emotionally, socially 
  • Have a calming presence and be able to engage well with the pupils (Year 7 to Year 11)
  • You will be dedicated to ensure that all children achieve their very best
  • Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of the school
