PE Teacher

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons for students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular sports activities and events
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Physical Education curriculum

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Physical Education or related field
  • Experience working as a PE Teacher in a school setting
  • Knowledge of national curriculum requirements for Physical Education

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong passion for promoting physical activity and healthy living
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of sports and fitness trends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school environment
  • Regular Monday to Friday schedule
  • Potential involvement in evening or weekend sports events

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
