Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Hayes to recruit a dedicated PE Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity, giving the successful candidate the chance to work through Teaching Personnel initially, with the potential to secure a permanent contract directly with the school following a successful placement.

The school is seeking an energetic and motivated teacher who can inspire students to participate in sport, physical activity, and healthy competition. You will be joining a supportive PE department with strong leadership and excellent facilities, where enthusiasm, teamwork, and student engagement are highly valued.

The Role:

  • Teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Deliver engaging practical and theory PE lessons
  • Encourage participation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Support extracurricular clubs, fixtures, and sporting events
  • Maintain strong behaviour management within practical settings

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Experience teaching PE within a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to motivate and engage students of all abilities
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Passion for sport, fitness, and student development
