Physical Education (PE) Teacher – Secondary School, Camberley

Location: Camberley, Surrey
Contract Type: Full-time / Permanent/Short-Term/Temporary

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher who inspires students to achieve their best in sport and fitness? We are seeking a passionate and energetic teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Camberley, where we promote a culture of teamwork, wellbeing, and lifelong participation in physical activity.


About the Role

As a PE Teacher, you will deliver engaging, inclusive, and challenging lessons that motivate all students to develop confidence, discipline, and a love for sport. You’ll play an active role in the school’s extra-curricular programme and contribute to our strong sporting tradition.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and KS5 if applicable).

  • Preparing students for GCSE and/or BTEC Sport qualifications.

  • Promoting teamwork, resilience, and sportsmanship.

  • Leading and supporting school teams, fixtures, and after-school clubs.

  • Contributing to inter-house competitions, sports days, and whole-school events.


About You

You will be:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience teaching PE in a secondary setting.

  • Passionate about physical education and student development.

  • Confident in a range of sports (team and individual disciplines).

  • A positive role model with excellent communication and classroom management skills.

  • Committed to contributing to the wider life of the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
