Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for PE Cover Supervisors and Sports Coaches to work flexible on a Supply Basis in Bedfordshire from January 2022

PE Cover Supervisors play an excellent role which is fundamental in Secondary Schools. The role involves delivering pre-set work and managing a class of 20-30 students in the absence of the teacher. You will not be expected to mark, plan or assess. We have a high demand for PE lessons to be covered however there could be some general lessons included in your timetable.

This is a fantastic route for Sports Graduates to get experience in education if you are considering a career in teaching. You will gain experience through flexible working on a supply basis, with access to long-term opportunities that arise.

You will need to be flexible, have a desire to work with young people, with a calm but authoritative manner.

To be considered for this position, you will have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Have a minimum of 1 month work experience working in charge of groups of children
  • A passion for working with children
  • Ability to communicate confidently
  • Be able to engage with and motivate a broad range of pupils
  • Have a strong work ethic
  • Be organised, reliable and trustworthy
  • Have a passion for PE and sports!

About Teaching Personnel:

  • The market leading and largest education provider
  • Competitive rates of pay paid by our in-house payroll team using the PAYE (no umbrella companies)
  • Full compliance with AWR (Agency Worker Regulations) to ensure you receive the pay and working conditions you are entitled to as an agency worker
  • FREE CPD and guidance through your education career – we have developed an NQT support package to include exclusive interview training with head teachers, networking events, progression in PE, behaviour management and much more.

We would organise a virtual vetting interview with you to find out more about you, as well as an opportunity to meet your designated consultant. We would require a DBS registered to the update service - if this is a document you currently do not possess, then we can support you to make a new application. Further info below.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role as well as the Right to Work in the UK. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
