An exciting new opportunity has opened up for a Pastoral Welfare Officer at a warm and welcoming primary school in the heart of Wavertree (L15). If you're an experienced educator with a heart for pastoral care, we would love to hear from you!

Key Details:

  • Contract: Temporary to Permanent (permanent contract offered after a successful trial)
  • Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)
  • Schedule: Term-time only, plus 5 INSET days
  • Start Date: May 2025

About the Role:
As Pastoral Welfare Officer, you’ll be at the centre of our efforts to support pupils’ wellbeing – helping to break down barriers to learning and promoting a nurturing, supportive environment for every child.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Offering guidance and support to pupils to foster their social, emotional, and personal growth.
  • Delivering targeted interventions, both one-to-one and in groups, to boost wellbeing and resilience.
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with parents, carers, and school staff.
  • Working closely with the attendance team to encourage excellent attendance.
  • Providing first aid and medical assistance where needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
