Part‑Time Year 2 Teacher – PR3, Preston

Start Date: April 2026 (after Easter holidays)
Contract: Part time – 2 full days per week
Days: Negotiable
Duration: Until the end of the academic year
Pay: £120–£160 per day, dependent on experience

A warm and supportive primary school in the PR3 area of Preston is seeking an enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team on a part‑time basis from April 2026, continuing through to the end of the academic year.

The Role

  • Teaching a Year 2 class for two full days each week (days are negotiable)
  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
  • Working closely with the class teacher and KS1 team to ensure continuity and pupil progress
  • Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • QTS or equivalent
  • Strong classroom practice with experience in KS1 (Year 2 experience preferred)
  • Confident in planning, delivering, and assessing learning
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to commit to two days per week
  • Passionate about supporting young learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
