Part‑Time Year 2 Teacher – PR3, Preston

Start Date: April 2026 (after Easter holidays)
Contract: Part time – 5 afternoons per week
Duration: Until the end of the academic year
Pay: £120–£160 per day, dependent on experience

Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated primary teacher looking for a rewarding part‑time role? A welcoming and well‑resourced primary school in the PR3 area of Preston is seeking a Year 2 Teacher to join their team from April 2026, continuing through to the end of the academic year.

The Role

  • Teaching a Year 2 class each afternoon, Monday to Friday
  • Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
  • Working collaboratively with the class teacher and wider KS1 team to support pupil progress
  • Providing a positive, nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Recent experience teaching within KS1 (Year 2 experience desirable)
  • Strong behaviour management and effective classroom practice
  • Able to commit to 5 afternoons per week for the duration of the contract
  • Passionate about helping young learners thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
