Cover Supervisor – Middlesbrough

Flexible Work - Full-Time or Part-Time - Immediate Start

Are you a graduate OR studying at University in or near Middlesbrough looking to gain classroom experience while working in local secondary schools?

Teaching Personnel is recruiting Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Teesside. This flexible role is ideal for graduates or those studying for their undergraduate or masters who are considering a career in teaching, education, psychology, or youth work and want practical school experience.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes when teachers are absent and help ensure students remain engaged with their learning.

No teaching qualification is required.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise pre-prepared lessons in secondary schools (Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4)

  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment

  • Support pupils in completing the work set by their teacher

  • Encourage students to stay focused and engaged

  • Follow school behaviour and safeguarding policies

You will not be required to plan lessons or mark work, making this an ideal role for graduates or university students looking to build confidence in the classroom.
