Part-time Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic part-time Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school from September. The school is based in Newcastle-Under-Lyme and strives to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all pupils.

This is a great opportunity for a student seeking a part-time role during their studies or a Teaching Assistant who is seeking a new and exciting change.

The role:

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and activities
• Work with small groups and individuals who require additional support with their social and emotional development
• Assisting in the preparation of materials
• Working with the class teacher to maintain a safe and inclusive learning atmosphere

What we’re looking for:

• Experience working with young people (in any environment)
• Good knowledge about SEN and confidence when communicating
• Ability to create a calm and supportive learning environment
• Strong interpersonal skills with both students and colleagues
• Safeguarding training (must be done upon registering with Teaching Personnel)
