Job description

A welcoming and supportive primary school in Tuebrook has contacted us regarding an exciting long-term placement opportunity starting in September 2026.

This role will involve providing dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with ADHD, who is currently working below age-related expectations. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping the pupil stay engaged, build confidence, and make meaningful academic and social progress. You will be working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support strategies and maintain a positive, consistent learning environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs and is looking to make a real impact in a school setting.

Essential requirements for this role include:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)
  • Strong, demonstrable experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEN), particularly ADHD
  • A patient, nurturing approach with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
