Cover Supervisor – Part Time (Mon–Wed)
Location: CB2, Cambridge
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Part Time – Ongoing until end of the academic year

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a supportive and well-regarded school in the CB2 area of Cambridge to appoint a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor. This role is required Monday to Wednesday each week and will run until the end of the academic year.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with school experience who enjoys working with young people and is confident managing a classroom.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will step in to deliver pre-set work in the absence of the class teacher. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and upholding school expectations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervising whole classes during teacher absences

  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson materials

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Supporting students to stay on task with their learning

  • Providing feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and behaviour

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Experience working in a UK school setting

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Confidence leading a classroom independently

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • A calm, adaptable, and professional approach

  • A genuine interest in supporting young people’s learning

(This role does not require QTS but would suit aspiring teachers, graduates, or experienced school support staff.)
