Mainstream Secondary School
Start Date: TBC | Contract: Full-time (Part-time considered)

A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Christchurch is seeking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic P.E. Teacher to join its dedicated and supportive Physical Education department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner who is committed to promoting physical activity, teamwork and a lifelong love of sport among young people.

The Role:

  • Delivering high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Planning engaging, inclusive and well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Assessing, monitoring and reporting on pupil progress

  • Encouraging participation in extracurricular sport and enrichment activities

  • Working collaboratively within the P.E. department and wider school community

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Have experience teaching P.E. within a UK secondary school setting

  • Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • Be enthusiastic, adaptable and committed to student wellbeing and achievement

  • Show a genuine passion for sport and physical education

This position is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs), with appropriate support available.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
