Outdoor Education Assistant – SEN School (South Brent)

We are currently recruiting for an Outdoor Education Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in South Brent.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about outdoor learning and supporting young people with additional needs to access education in a different, more engaging environment.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN through outdoor and practical learning activities
  • Assisting with activities such as outdoor education, life skills, and off-site learning
  • Helping students build confidence, resilience, and engagement with education
  • Working closely with teaching staff and support teams
  • Creating a safe, structured, and positive learning environment outdoors
  • Term time only with a long-term opportunity available

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience desirable)
  • Confident working outdoors in all environments
  • Resilient, proactive, and enthusiastic approach
  • Ability to build strong, positive relationships with students
  • Must be reliable and committed to supporting vulnerable learners

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, working outside the classroom, and making a real difference to the lives of young people who need alternative approaches to learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
