Nurture Teacher

Teaching Personnel are working with a school in Manchester to find a full-time Nurture Teacher to work with students with additional needs. The school provides specialist education for students with diverse learning needs, and the ideal candidate will have a strong background in nurture education.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that supports students’ socal, emotional and behavioural development
• Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment where students feel valued, respected and supported
• Provide individualised support and interventions to students based on their unique needs and circumstances
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and external agencies to develop and implement personalised support plans
• Build positive relationships with students, families and caregivers to support student well-being
• Assess student progress and wellbeing and provide regular feedback surrounding this

Requirements

• Teaching experience or specific qualification relating to nurture education
• Experience working with students with social, emotional and behavioural needs
• Strong understanding of nurture principles and practices for supporting student well-being and development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy for working with students with complex needs
• Available full-time

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
