Nursery Nurse

Job description

A popular Primary school located in the heart of Burnley has approached Teaching Personnel in order to supply a Nursery practitioner to work in the EYFS Department alongside children aged 3-5 years old. The working hours will be from 9:00-15:30 and the pay will match the experience of the candidates. The role is to start from the 24th of February and will continue indefinitely to cover a long term ‘gap in staffing’ due to an authorised long term leave of absence, which could potentially go permanent.

The School is one of the top performing in the East Lancashire and as a result, the standards for behaviour and academic progress are a priority. It is essential that when you apply for the role, you are able to give examples of when you have developed skills amongst younger children and differentiated the Curriculum to meet individual needs. Predominately most of the children are from Asian heritage families, due to this there can be an element of EAL. With this in mind, experience supporting children who have English as an additional language is highly sought after.  The successful candidate will have  excellent knowledge of the Early Years & be able to ‘hit the ground running’

The school is located outside the town centre of Burnley and is commutable on public transport.
