Nursery Assistant

Location: England, Greater London, Wembley

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £80 - £95 Per day

We are currently seeking a Nursery Assistant to join our team in Wembley, Brent. As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to our early years department. This is a permanent position with full-time hours.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery
  • Support the delivery of educational activities and programmes
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children
  • Help with meal times and encourage healthy eating habits
  • Engage in play and learning activities with the children
  • Assist with record-keeping and documentation
  • Collaborate with other staff members and parents to create a positive learning environment

Required Qualifications of either:

  • CACHE level 2
  • CACHE level 3
  • BIIB level 2 diploma
  • Highfield level 2 diploma
  • Level 2 diploma for early years

Education and Experience:

To be considered for this role, you should have a CACHE level 2 qualification or above. Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is preferred but not essential.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Supportive and caring nature
  • Proactive and able to use initiative

Preferred Qualifications:

While not essential, the following qualifications would be advantageous:

  • Teaching assistant qualification

Working Conditions:

As a Nursery Assistant, you will be expected to work full-time hours. The working hours for this role are 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. The position is based in Wembley, Brent, and will require you to work within a nursery environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
