Job description

Job Title: Music Teacher

Location: East of England, Cambridgeshire, Wisbech

Job Type: Permanent, expected to work Full-Time hours

Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging music lessons to students
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback
  • Organise and supervise music-related activities and events
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the music programme

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree in Music or Music Education

Education:

  • Degree in Music or Music Education

Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching music in a school setting
  • Experience working with students of various ages and abilities

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of music theory and practical skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Music Education
  • Experience in leading music ensembles or choirs

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a school environment
  • Full-time hours with potential for extra-curricular activities
  • Collaborative work with colleagues and students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
