Flexible – part time/full time - Immediate start
Schools have experienced many challenges since March last year because of COVID 19. One of those challenges has been to look after the mental health and well-being of students. Many schools have been in contact asking if Teaching Personnel can provide support staff to offer mentoring and mindfulness with students as a support worker. The role would require you to work with Ks3 and 4 SEND students so transferable skills or experience working with children and/or adults with complex needs is desirable.
Here at Teaching Personnel, we are looking for numerous support staff who can offer one to one or small group intervention as a Teaching Assistant. The hours will be 08:30-15:30 Monday to Friday.
Ideal Candidates
- Qualification in Counselling, Mental Health First Aid, Mental Health Awareness, Support Work, Psychology or Education is desired
- Approachable, patient and a good listener
- Understanding of confidentially and safeguarding of children and young people
- Confident to liaise with pupils and school staff
- Resilient and positive
- Takes a genuine interest in the well-being of others

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
