Maths Tutor – Alternative Education Setting (16–25) – Bradford (BD1)

Location: Bradford City Centre (BD1)
Pay: £120 – £160 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

Are you passionate about helping young people rediscover their confidence in education?

We’re seeking a Maths Tutor to join a welcoming alternative education setting in Bradford (BD1), working with learners aged 16–25 who have not thrived in mainstream college environments. Many of the students have SEN, SEMH, or additional learning needs, and benefit from a smaller, more supportive approach to learning.

The Role:

As a Maths Tutor, you’ll teach a small class of around 10–15 learners, adapting your sessions to meet a wide range of abilities and needs.
You will:

  • Deliver creative, engaging maths sessions that build confidence and life skills.

  • Support learners working towards functional maths qualifications (Entry Level to Level 2).

  • Provide encouragement, consistency, and understanding to students who may have experienced barriers to education.

  • Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams to create a positive, inclusive environment.

Who We’re Looking For:

✅ A qualified teacher/tutor (QTS, QTLS, or relevant FE qualification)
✅ Experience teaching maths to post-16 learners or within an alternative provision, SEN, or SEMH environment
✅ Patient, adaptable, and able to engage students who may lack confidence in traditional education
✅ Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
