Maths Teaching Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Maths Teaching Assistant to support KS3 students at a client secondary school based in central Manchester, starting in April. The successful candidate will be working closely with the schools talented teaching staff to support students in Years 7-9.

The school is based in the heart of Manchester, is very accessible for candidates using public transport, being a short walk from the nearest bus/tram stops. There is also a large onsite car park that staff members can utilize.

The successful applicant can expect to receive up to £99 per day, depending on experience. The school also provides professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities:
o Provide one-to-one support to students who require additional assistance with maths
o Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities to small groups of students
o Mark and feedback students' work, providing constructive comments to aid their understanding
o Support students with their homework and revision, both individually and in small groups
o Collaborate with other teaching assistants and staff members to ensure the smooth running of the departments

Requirements:
o Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Tutor in a secondary school setting
o Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Maths at Key Stage 3 level
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team
o Enthusiasm and passion for supporting students in their learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
