If you are a recent Psychology Graduate looking to gain experience working with young people with autism?
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for recent Psychology Graduates to join one of our client schools in Central Manchester as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

There are both full-time and part-time positions available.

The salary for this position will be between £350 and £450 per week, dependent on the number of hours that you work.

The school has received an OFSTED rating of 2, meaning that it is a good school. This will make it an ideal environment to gain confidence within a school environment.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting young people with special educational needs. You will be working closely with pupils who have ADHD, Autism, and other moderate learning needs. It is crucial that you are able to build relationships with these pupils to ensure that they are emotionally supported within school. Many of these pupils will not speak English as their first language, you must be able to find methods to support them both academically and emotionally.

Behaviour management will be central to this position. You must be able to support the children and encourage good behaviour throughout the school day. You must also be prepared with any difficult behavioural traits.

In order to be successful for this position, you must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, as well as provide two employment-based references. You will also be required to complete a safeguarding course.
