Qualified Maths Teacher required for full time post from January 2020

A large, Outstanding mixed secondary school in the Stockport area is seeking to appoint a full time Maths teacher for a January 2020 start. The successful candidate will hold QTS in the UK, have a proven track record of attainment across the Key Stages in Maths, and be willing to support the Maths department develop and expand its teaching and learning resources.

With above average Progress 8 and Attainment 8 scores, this school prides itself on the academic provision offered to all its pupils, driven by the desire to see each and every one of its students exceed expectations and achieve their full potential. As a Maths teacher, you will play a vital role in achieving that goal through the effective delivery of this core subject up to GCSE level.

 Delivering across both KS3 and KS4, you will deliver topics to the lower year groups that address the National Curriculum targets MA1-MA4, incorporating some aspects of the Mastery approach; as pupils begin their 3 year GCSE, following the Edexcel syllabus, they cover topics that are designed to enhance their problem solving skills and mathematical reasoning in order to better equip them for the new demands of the 9-1 GCSE course.

Located close to the M60 and M56, Teaching Personnel’s client school is easily accessible by car, and is also very well serviced by public transport, making it equally as convenient for those without their own transport.

Criteria:

  • Must be available for full time work from January 2020
  • Must have QTS in the UK – both experienced teachers and NQTs are welcome to apply
  • Must have suitable school-based references
  • Must be willing and able to apply for a fully enhanced DBS certificate
