Mathematics Teacher – Secondary School (Leeds)
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Position: Full-Time Mathematics Teacher
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience (in line with MPS/UPS pay scale)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Mathematics teacher looking for your next rewarding role in education? Teaching Personnel is working closely with a reputable secondary school in Leeds to recruit an enthusiastic Maths specialist to join their successful department from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong subject knowledge and a desire to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that promote curiosity and confidence in mathematical thinking, while also contributing to the wider school community and its continuous improvement ethos.

The school is well-respected within the local area and is committed to raising achievement and providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment. You will be joining a dynamic team of educators dedicated to student progress and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering effective Mathematics lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
  • Participating in department meetings, CPD sessions, and school events

Essential Requirements:

  • UK-recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum
  • Ability to inspire and motivate learners
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
