Job Duties:

The Maths Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in mathematics, assessing student progress, providing feedback to students and parents, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the learning experience.

Required Qualifications:

QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) is essential for this role.

Education:

A degree in Mathematics or a related field is required. Additional teaching qualifications are a plus.

Experience:

Prior experience in teaching mathematics at the secondary level is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong understanding of the national curriculum for mathematics
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective behaviour management techniques
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Punctuality and reliability
• Commitment to continuous professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional teaching qualifications or certifications in mathematics education.

Working Conditions:

The Maths Teacher will work in a school setting, following the academic calendar. The role may involve additional duties such as attending staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and participating in professional development activities.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
