Maths Teacher

Job description

An opportunity for a Maths teacher to join the teaching staff at a school in Hyde has arisen. This is a great opportunity to join an improving school.

The school is looking for a teacher with QTS, who has experience in delivery high quality Maths lessons to pupil between the ages of 11-16. The individual should be well organised, be competent and confident in their delivery, as well as being able to manage behaviour expectations in line with school policy. The required individual will have prior experience in delivering lessons to larger classes of children, as well as being able to effectively aid those on a 1:1 basis. Additionally, being able to differentiate learning to the meet the required needs of individuals, including those with SEN is of high importance. The percentage of pupils whose first language is English is higher than the national average – the individual required would need to also be able to efficiently the needs of these children. This role commences from April, and continues throughout the current academic year and potentially into the new academic year in September.

  • Pay - GBP24,373 - GBP40,490 - based on experience.

The school is located in Hyde, located just 8 miles outside of Manchester city centre. The M67 motorway junction is within very close proximity to the school. Other public transport links are within easy access of the school, including Hyde Central train station, which is just a short walk to the school.
