Year 6 Class Teacher – Rochdale – OL11

Teaching Personnel are working with an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ school in Rochdale Primary a school, who are looking for a confident teacher to educate a Year 6 class.

This Rochdale based school is made up of a diverse set of cultures and background; both the children and staff. At this school, inclusivity is very much a natural part of life, where everyone is respected. valued and celebrated as an individual.

The school have robust systems to ensure progress ion communication and language is made, especially after the pandemic, this has been a big focus for the school.

Long-term full time role

  • Year 6 teacher with a September start
  • Long-term, full-time role
  • £100 - £160 per day, directly through PAYE (no umbrella companies or agency fees)
  • Working on a timesheet basis with the opportunity for a school-based contract
  • Key Stage 2 and Year 6 experience would be beneficial
  • Ability to plan and deliver all areas of the curriculum
  • Teacher who understands the importance of formative and summative assessment
  • Be an active member of the school community
  • Easily accessible from M62 school based in Rochdale (OL11) with parking on site
  • Specialist ASD Provision Unit based in the School
  • Registration with Teaching Personnel required

At this crucial stage of a child’s life, the educator needs to have a sound knowledge of the curriculum and plan engaging lessons to consolidate learning. The role of a Year 6 teacher is a balance between ensuring children enjoy their last year of primary school, yet also ready them for high school and become more of an independent learner.

The senior leadership team are looking for their new staff member to be tea players, personable, uphold their values and be consistently good in their approach to all area of the curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
