Maths Teacher
Job description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Maths Teacher to work in secondary schools across Hastings and the surrounding areas of East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher who is passionate about mathematics and committed to raising achievement and confidence in the subject.
This role is suitable for experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and are looking for either long-term or flexible teaching opportunities.
The Role:

Teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with KS5 opportunities available in some schools)
-
Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in line with the national curriculum
-
Assessing, monitoring, and tracking pupil progress
-
Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
-
Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
-
Working collaboratively with department staff and wider school teams
Essential Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
-
A recognised degree in Mathematics or a related subject
-
Strong subject knowledge of the secondary Maths curriculum
-
Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
-
A professional, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
