Maths Teacher – Secondary SEMH Provision
Full-time | Long-term | Temp to Perm Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Maths Teacher to join a specialist Secondary SEMH provision on a full-time, long-term basis, with the potential to become a permanent position for the successful applicant.
The Role:
-
Teaching Maths to pupils aged 8–16
-
Working with small class sizes within a specialist setting
-
Supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
-
Helping to remove barriers to learning and re-engage students with education
-
Collaborating with a supportive, multi-disciplinary team
About the Provision:
-
A small, nurturing SEMH setting with up to 60 pupils
-
Focused on creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment
-
Strong emphasis on relationships, emotional regulation, and personalised learning
-
Dedicated to helping pupils achieve both academically and personally
Working Hours:
-
8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay:

Dependent on skills and experience
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Qualified Teacher or strong Maths specialist with relevant experience
-
Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or challenging behaviour is desirable
-
Calm, patient, and adaptable approach
-
Passionate about making a genuine difference to young people’s lives
This is an excellent opportunity for a Maths Teacher who is committed to inclusive education and motivated to support pupils in overcoming challenges to learning.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
