Job description

Maths Teacher – Secondary School

Location: Trafford & South Manchester
Contract: Full‑Time
Start Date: Immediate or ASAP
Salary: M1 – UPS3 (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel are looking for Maths Teachers to work on a supply basis in a range of well‑regarded secondary schools in Trafford / South Manchester, on a flexible part-time or full-time basis (depending on personal preference).

This role offers the chance to inspire students and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to develop strong relationships within different schools. You’ll be based at different schools on a flexible day-to-day basis. This position is ideal for ECTs to gain more classroom experience, as well as more experienced teachers.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised UK teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Passion for Maths education and raising pupil achievement

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high‑quality Maths lessons aligned with the curriculum
  • Monitor, assess, and track student progress
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to support learners of all abilities
  • Contribute to the Maths department and wider school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
