Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for graduate in maths-based subjects to join one of our client schools in Manchester as a Teaching Assistant.
There are both full-time and part-time positions, providing flexibility for you to study further or for other commitments.
The salary for this position will be between £385 and £450 per week.
The highlights of this position include:
- A 6.5 hour working day.
- Working in an OFSTED good school.
- Potential to progress onto permanent teacher positions once you have become fully qualified in the same school or another school with the support of Teaching Personnel.
For this position, you must be willing to apply for a fully enhanced DBS check, as well as provide at least two employment-based references that cover the last two years of your employment history. You will also be required to complete a safeguarding course.
The main responsibilities for this position will include:
- Supporting the pupils who are causing the most concern in relation to their GCSE examinations.
- Working on a one-to-one basis or within small groups to ensure that the pupils are gaining an adequate understanding of the lesson that has been delivered.
- You should be able to explain the knowledge you have gained through your previous studies to the pupils in a simple way so that they are best able to understand it.
This school is located in central Manchester, it is easy to commute to from the surrounding areas of Moss Side, Whalley Range, Didsbury and Fallowfield. The school is currently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, making it an ideal environment for your first school-based position. You must be prepared to deal with difficult behaviour from the pupils as this school has previously had issues around this.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
