Job Opportunity: Maths & English Tutor
Location: Preston (PR1)
Hours: Monday to Friday – School Hours
Pay: Competitive (based on experience)


About the Role

We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths & English Tutor to support learners in the Preston (PR1) area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and helping students build confidence and improve their core skills in Maths and English.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging 1:1 or small group tutoring sessions in Maths and English
  • Support learners in building confidence and improving academic performance
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
  • Track progress and provide feedback to support development
  • Encourage a positive and motivating learning environment

Requirements

  • Experience tutoring or teaching Maths and/or English
  • Strong subject knowledge in GCSE-level content (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching style to different learners
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
