Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant who specialises in SEN support for one of our partner schools in the Cheadle area of Stockport, the role is set to start May 2023 and will run until the end of the academic year. The pay for this role is £385 - £450 per week.
Ideal candidates for the role:
- Graduates looking to build experience working in a classroom setting.
- Sports coaches with transferable skills working with young people.

Some key skills and characteristics we are looking for:
- It is important to be friendly and approachable so the students can openly engage with you.
- Being a strong communicator is key, you will liaise with Teachers and Leadership staff to help identify students who would benefit from extended support. You will also be expected to deliver high quality feedback to pupils, highlighting their strengths and constructively giving them criticism.
- You must be confident when aiding children with additional learning requirements, these pupils will have different learning abilities and will have different speeds of learning it is important you remain patient and enable them to learn in a way that is comfortable to them.
The school will provide full training around key school issues, which include Safeguarding, EAL, and SEMH. The applicant will receive consistent support and will also gain the opportunity to cover full scale classes when staff absences occur.

For those who drive, the school is right on the M60 with secure onsite parking. There is a local train station a 5-minute walk away from the site with services running direct to and from Manchester Piccadilly. There are bus stops on the school’s doorstep with many services running into and around the town centre.
The successful applicant must provide a full DBS check and 2 references from former employers, character references are accepted if you have not had 2 employers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
