Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Location: Stockport
Pay: £90 – £100 per day (depending on experience)


About the Role

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant to join our agency, offering exciting opportunities to work in a range of secondary schools across the Stockport area. This long-term opportunity is ideal for a skilled teaching assistant who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

As a Level 3 teaching assistant, you will support teachers and the SENCo in delivering tailored interventions for students with a variety of needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH challenges, and learning difficulties. Your role will involve helping students access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with SEN.
  • Assist with classroom learning and differentiated activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure each student receives holistic support.
  • Use your Level 3 qualification to enhance high-quality support across the school.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school experience preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, patient, and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • A genuine passion for helping students succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
