Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Blackburn with Darwen
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a specialist provision supporting pupils across KS2–KS4, working primarily within the KS2 department.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting pupils with challenging behaviours, helping to remove barriers to learning, and re-engaging students with their education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with a range of behavioural, emotional, and learning needs

  • Working closely with teachers to deliver tailored learning support

  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviours using positive behaviour strategies

  • Encouraging engagement, confidence, and progress in learning

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support as required

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

  • Experience working with KS2 pupils (KS3/KS4 experience desirable)

  • Confidence in managing challenging behaviour

  • A calm, patient, and consistent approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
