Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and skilled Level 3 Qualified Primary Teaching Assistants to join our team and support schools across High Wycombe. We have a variety of daily supply, short-term, and long-term placements, with a particular focus on candidates experienced in Early Years (EYFS).

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young learners and wants to work flexibly or secure a consistent long-term position.


About the Role

As a Level 3 Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 or KS2 (EYFS experience highly desirable)

  • Deliver small-group interventions and targeted support

  • Lead or assist with phonics groups, early reading and early maths

  • Help create engaging, age-appropriate learning environments

  • Support children’s social, emotional and physical development

  • Contribute to observations and assessments in EYFS settings

  • Assist with classroom preparation, behaviour support and daily routines

  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to meet pupil needs

We work with a range of mainstream and SEN primary schools who regularly request Level 3 qualified assistants.


What We’re Looking For

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning / Childcare (or equivalent)

  • Experience in Early Years (nursery or school-based) – desirable

  • Strong understanding of EYFS curriculum and child development

  • Confident delivering phonics and early literacy support

  • Positive, patient and proactive attitude

  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments

  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
