Level 3 Nursery Nurse – Lewisham Primary School (Temporary, January Start)

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and qualified Level 3 Nursery Nurse who is passionate about early years education and making a genuine difference to children with complex needs.

Working closely with the class teacher, you will help create a nurturing learning environment that supports curiosity, confidence, and kindness. You will also provide 1:1 support for pupils who require additional help, using patience and positive behaviour management to encourage their development and independence.

This is a temporary position until July, starting in January, and would suit someone who brings warmth, resilience, and creativity to the classroom.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher with daily activities and learning objectives

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with complex needs

  • Assist with behaviour management and pastoral care

  • Contribute to a safe, caring, and inclusive learning environment

  • Carry out general classroom and administrative duties as required

Requirements:

  • Must hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare

  • Experience supporting pupils with complex needs in a school setting

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
