Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant

Nursery Setting – Oxton, Merseyside

£15.00 – £16.77 per hour (dependent on experience)
Full-time | Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
Long-term position with the potential to become permanent

We are delighted to be recruiting for a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and well-established nursery setting in Oxton, known for its welcoming atmosphere, high-quality early years provision, and dedicated staff team.

This lovely nursery is at the heart of the local community and prides itself on providing a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported. Learning is rooted in play, exploration, and curiosity, with a strong focus on supporting children’s emotional wellbeing alongside their early learning and development.

The nursery offers bright, engaging indoor spaces and well-equipped outdoor areas, encouraging children to explore, discover, and build confidence at their own pace. Staff work collaboratively to ensure each child receives personalised support and the very best start to their educational journey.


 

As a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children aged 0–5, working closely with room leaders and practitioners to deliver high-quality care and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting planned activities across the EYFS curriculum, including communication and language, early literacy, and numeracy
  • Facilitating play-based, child-led learning both indoors and outdoors
  • Building positive, nurturing relationships with children to support their emotional and social development
  • Observing, assessing, and contributing to children’s learning journals
  • Supporting children with personal care routines where required
  • Helping to maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
  • Working in partnership with colleagues and parents to ensure consistent care and development

We Are Looking For:

  • A Level 3 EYFS qualification (essential)
  • Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
  • A warm, caring, and patient nature with a genuine love for working with young children
  • A strong understanding of child development and the EYFS framework
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusive practice
  • Reliability, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
