Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant – Full-Time
Location: Thornton, Lancashire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term-Time Only)
Start Date: January 2026

A welcoming primary school in Thornton is looking for a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their EYFS team this November.
About the Role
You’ll work closely with the class teacher to support children in the Early Years Foundation Stage, creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. This is a full-time, term-time role—perfect for someone who loves helping young learners grow and succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children’s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Assist in planning and delivering creative, age-appropriate activities
- Maintain a secure and welcoming classroom environment
- Observe and record children’s progress, sharing insights with teaching staff
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to meet individual needs
What We’re Looking For
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma or equivalent)
- Previous experience in an EYFS setting (school or nursery)
- A solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum and safeguarding practises
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
