Job description

We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Level 3 EYFS Nursery Practitioner to join our growing early years team. If you have a passion for providing exceptional care and high-quality learning experiences for young children, we would love to hear from you!

You will work closely with colleagues to create a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can thrive—emotionally, socially, and academically. Your work will directly support our commitment to delivering an outstanding Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) provision.

Location: Burnley
Contract: Part-time and flexible day-to-day opportunities
Salary: Competitive
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care and education in line with EYFS standards.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging activities that support children’s learning and development.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and the wider team.
  • Maintain accurate observations, assessments, and key worker records.
  • Ensure the nursery environment is safe, inclusive, and child-centred.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times.

About You

You will be a caring, creative, and confident practitioner with a genuine love for early years.

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Experience working with children aged 0–5.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

Desirable:

  • Paediatric First Aid certificate.
  • Experience as a key worker.
  • Knowledge of SEND support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
