Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistants to work in a variety of primary and secondary schools across South Yorkshire. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day supply work or a longer-term placement, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting teachers and helping pupils achieve their full potential. You'll work closely with classroom teachers to deliver engaging learning experiences, provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across the classroom.
- Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Assist with planning and preparing classroom resources.
- Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence.
- Support children with additional learning needs where required.
- Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies.
- Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
What We're Looking For
- A recognised Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, patient, and adaptable approach.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
