Teaching Assistant Level 2 (TA2) – Primary School
Location: Firswood, M16, Manchester
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Term Time Only | Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2 (TA2) to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Firswood, M16 from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual who is committed to supporting children in achieving their full potential both academically and personally.
Working closely with class teachers and the wider school team, you will provide high-quality support to pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning within the classroom.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of engaging learning activities.
- Support pupils with varying needs, including those with SEND where required.
- Help to promote positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.
- Contribute to assessing pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
- Foster positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- A TA2 qualification or relevant Teaching Assistant experience.
- Experience working within a primary school setting.
- A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
