Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Barnsley Supply

Are you a L2 qualified Teaching Assistant looking for flexible day to day work in the Barnsley area? Are you looking to gain experience in a number of schools across EYFS - KS2? Then this could be the role for you!

This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual who wants to help improve the quality of education for young pupils in the Barnsley area.

The job role:

  • You will work under the instruction/guidance of the teacher and other senior staff members, to ensure the care and support of the pupils
  • You will help enable access to learning for the pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of their classroom
  • Will involve work within the classroom and outside the main teaching area
  • Working in a well respected primary schools
  • Supporting the class teacher within a strong senior team

You will:

  • Have good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Have a Level 2/3 NVQ for teaching assistants or equivalent, or have relevant work experience
  • Training or experience in relevant learning strategies
  • Be engaging, have a positive attitude and provide
  • Shown initiative and be confident to get involved in all areas of the school
