Learning Support Assistant – Primary SEN Schools
Location: Portsmouth
About the Role
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistants to work within Primary Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in the Portsmouth area. This is a rewarding opportunity to support younger pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access education and develop key foundational skills.
Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN

Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored and engaging learning activities
-
Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
-
Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
-
Monitor and report on pupil progress and wellbeing
Requirements
-
A passion for supporting young children with additional needs
-
Previous experience in education or care settings
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
A patient, caring, and proactive approach
Compliance Requirements
-
Applicants must have a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
