Learning Support Officer
A higher education provider situated in Central Manchester are looking to appoint a Learning Support Officer for a September start. This role will involve working 8.30am - 3.00pm and will involve working 5 days per week Monday - Friday. This position is an ongoing long-term position. If you are successful in securing the position you will not be required to work within school holidays, so this position could be suitable for individuals who are looking for a role that can fit in with their personal circumstances.
The setting itself provides education for A Level students and also provides education for adult learners. In it's most recent OFSTED inspection the setting was graded as an 'outstanding' provision with OFSTED crediting the Provision on its ability to provide an inclusive education for pupils with SEN.
Your role as a Learning Support Officer will involve working directly with students with MLD, ASD or ADHD. Ideally you will have experience working within an educational environment supporting learners with SEN. However, this is not essential as long as you are able to demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for working with learners with SEN.
To be considered for this role you should have:
- A passion for working with pupils with SEN (demonstrated through personal or professional experience)
- The ability to support pupils academically and mentally
- A knowledge of various learning needs such as: MLD, ASD and Dyslexia
- The ability to develop positive working relationships

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
