Learning Support Mentor – Make a Difference Every Day!
Location: Birmingham
Start Date: September 2026
Pay: £93–£100 per day (dependent on experience)

At Teaching Personnel, we're working in partnership with a number of fantastic secondary schools across Birmingham who are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Learning Support Mentors to join their teams this September.
Whether you have experience in education, youth work, coaching, care or mentoring, this could be the perfect opportunity to begin or continue a rewarding career supporting students both inside and outside the classroom.
What you'll be doing:
✨ Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
✨ Encouraging confidence, resilience and independence
✨ Helping students overcome barriers to learning
✨ Working alongside teachers to create an engaging learning environment
✨ Promoting positive behaviour and student wellbeing
✨ Building meaningful relationships that help young people succeed
We're looking for someone who:
✔ Has experience working with children or young people
✔ Is patient, empathetic and approachable
✔ Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
✔ Can motivate and inspire students to achieve their best
✔ Is adaptable and enjoys working as part of a supportive team
✔ Is committed to safeguarding and creating a positive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
