Learning Support Assistants – PR5 Area (Bank Basis)

Teaching Personnel are looking for caring and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join our team on a bank basis in the PR5 area. This flexible role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people in their learning and development, particularly those with additional needs or requiring extra classroom support.

You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance, helping pupils to engage positively in their education and reach their potential. This role offers the opportunity to gain valuable school-based experience across a range of settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities

  • Encourage pupil engagement, confidence, and independence

  • Support students with additional needs, ensuring inclusion and progress

  • Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing in the classroom

  • Adapt learning materials and approaches to meet individual needs

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school setting

  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach

  • Good communication and teamwork skills

  • Ability to follow guidance and use initiative where needed

  • A valid DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one

Details:

  • Location: PR5 and surrounding areas

  • Contract: Bank / supply basis

  • Hours: Flexible, dependent on school needs

  • Start: Immediate or as soon as possible

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
