Rate: £13.75 per hour

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming SEN school in Southampton, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

This is a full-time, ongoing position, ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young people with complex needs.

Role Overview

  • Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with PMLD

  • Assisting with personalised learning programmes

  • Supporting sensory-based learning and therapeutic activities

  • Helping with personal care and mobility as required

  • Working closely with teachers and therapists to promote student progress

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is patient, proactive, and compassionate

  • Has experience supporting individuals with complex needs (preferred but not essential)

  • Is willing to assist with personal care and manual handling

  • Can commit to a full-time, ongoing role
